While driving on the interstate yesterday my passenger rear tire literally loss it tread, but stayed inflated. It did 'severe' damage to my 2001 Ford Expedition. The tires only have 32,768 miles. It curled by rear fender under, bent my running board down, tore off the side molding, and even cracked the rear lift gate door. I don't feel safe driving on these tires anymore as they are close to the recall dated tires. I'm waiting to see if General Tire is going to do anything. The Ford dealer is already giving me the run around and I'm not sure where to turn to now......The vehicle will not be on the highway until this issue is resolved.

on july 2005 my left rear tire exploded damaging my navigator. Here it's a month later and the tire on the rear right steel belt broke. I took the tire off in time, if i hadn't my whole rear off my truck problably would've been destroyed. I'm still waiting for continental to solve this matter.

I own a 2004 Ford Expedition. It came with Continental tires. Since the second month, I had problems with the feel, thumping noise, and vibrations. I had the dealer/manager look at it, and he was told by the mechanics, its ok. Then I spoke to the service manager, he said no problem, they will take care if it up 36,000 miles.

Well, I finally took the vehicle in, Ford had it for 2 days, and its not a front end problem, or a bearing problem. Its the same darn Continental tires, I told them about 11 months ago. Now, they wont do anything about it.

I bought the Bridgestone Alenzas tires, and $820 later, the car is awesome. First time since I own it, no shaking, no thumping, and a great ride. Its time for Continental to look at this, along with Ford!
