This bill is for surgery on my child done literally over 1 year ago! I jsut received it in the mail and when I called Tenet, the Girl I spoke to Kami told me that whatever my Ins. Co. has said "it didnt matter a hill of beans" I was appauled and got her name and hung up. My ins. Com is contacting them to tell them to sort this out. See, I have 5 names from my Ins co and two from tenet that I recorded over a year ago on this surgery to make sure of exactly what I was to pay. Even the People at Tenet I spoke to were in agreement. My EOB statements indicate I am not to pay that amt...they are to write it off per their contract with my ins. co. I asked Kami why now, after one year..am I receiving a bill!!! She said she couldnt answer that but...she seemed to know that again, "whatever my ins. co. told me didnt matter a hill of beans" Oh, and I add, she laughed after saying that! Bill for 11 days was $34,000. Bill includes fess of over $3,000 for medication and $1,175 for pathology. Meds were simple pain killers and anti-inflamatory meds which might retail for a gew hundred dollars. PAtient can not remember receiving lab services.
