What makes all of this even worse is how the system has allowed my family as well as so many other families wait for years. I have a four year old son who will NEVER see his Nanna. Because a of greedy company that valued making money over protecting the public. We the families of these people are the ones paying the price for there neglagence. I make it a pratcice to call my lawyer every couple of months to check in and remind them that we are real people with real loss. And not just numbers and names on a piece of paper. No one is trying to get rich, just trying hold people who are careless and irresponsible for their actions and get them to quit making millions without taking into consideration people's lives. Do your research and you will see how this drug was marketed even after they knew it could cause problems. No one was going to Beverly Hills or Hawaii. Everytime a death occours and a person is taking medication from a reputable company like Janssen or Johnson and Johnson, someone in the family tries to pin it on the medication and not the medical problem with the patient. There's a new one out now where some family member is trying to sue Janssen for 25 million because they said the patch she was wearing delivered too much medicine at once and she passed out in the shower and drowned. I use the Janssen patch and the only way that would of happened all at once is if she injected herself in the bloodstream with the fentanyl fluid in a syringe. It takes hours for a level of drug to get into the system and even if she was only using scalding hot water wich would of burned her, would the drug have gotten into her skin in an increased amount, it would of taken hours for that drug to get into her bloodstream in that higher amount. There's only micrograms of drug in the patch. If your opiod tolerant, which you must be to get the patches, that scenario is impossible. It's obvious that people see a fast way to make a buck and think that they can get cash to alieviate their sorrow because a loved one died, but it's actually greed. 25million? 1.5 million? you want more than justice for that amount of cash, and these lawsuits only hurt those who get their medications from Janssen free because they can't afford to buy them. Suing Janssen will only cause them to stop giving medication to those that need it dearly and use it correctly and have no problems with it. Yes, the justice system doesn't work the way you think, they don't give out enormous amounts of cash to the family members or spouces just because you think you can get rich quick and honor you spouces death by hanging out in Beverly hills or Hawaii for the rest of your life. You will not profit from death by biting the hands of those that relieve the sufferings of millions, and many for free. So get a grip, if you want a million dollars, do it the right way. Win it by gambling, forget your God and get married for cash or start a buisness and earn it. Stop hurting other people with your greed and coveting nature Mrs. Calvert and any other get rich quick slick twisted puppy.
