MY FRIENDS 12 YEAR OLD SON HAS BEEN PUT ON AVANZA (MIRTAZON), HE HAS VIOLENT TENDICIES ANYWAY NOW HE IS WORSE, FROM WHAT I HAVE READ HERE I SHOULD TELL HER TO STOP GIVING THEM TO HIM..ANY THOUGHTS WOULD BE APPRECIATED

my son was prescribed avanza. his cutting never got better, his suicidal thoughts remained, and now we have to contend with homicidal thoughts. he was on 60mg a day, when that didnt work the psych upped the dose to 90mg a day. this only caused him to have the shakes. we reduced the dose to two and a half tabs a day for him.

as a consequence, my son has been refused, by the education dept to attend school. he now must study at home.

he can not return to school, and i add he is in his last year of school, until the doctor has said all is well. there is no way that my son will want to go back to school.

i’ve been researching the side affects of this drug. any help would truly be appreciated. anything anyone has found, sites that point out the adverse side affects

I went to a doctor and she gave me Mirtazon to take for my depression and I was on it for a month and a half and I can’t really remember what happened or what I was doing at the time, all I remember is that I was really depressed and I started to cutmyself (I haven’t done that for years) and then I put on 10 kilo’s! it wasn’t helping me and i was getting fat, I was so scard. i’ve been off it for 3 days and today a different doctor at the same place and gave me “Talam (Citalpram tablets)” i’m unsure about them. I don’t know what’s going to happen to me. eah it’s all good.

My sister has a flat mate who has been recently put on the drug Avanza… I am concerned for her as I was prescribed Avanza and within weeks I became aggressive towards my partner with a burning sensation to kill him and quickly stopped taking the drug… I am finding it difficult to find any information over the net on these side effects… Where can I find some information for my sisters bestfriend to realise that her aggression is the drug she is on? Normally she is a quiet calm person… please help…

My best friend was perscibed AVANZA by a local GP he was suffering from depression he had not been sleeping hardly at all he started taking them and he he was not right in head he tried to book into the gold coast hospitals pysc ward but the duty nurse would not admit him which led to tragic circumstances he went to his fathers to try and get better to clear his head one day later his father died from knife wounds caused when my mate went around the twist this was totally out of character and absolutely tragic as he worshipped the ground his dad walked on he now is in a maximum secrurity prison in brisbane this happened i year ago he is stuck in side with no trial date and no answers all this is caused from from a GP just handing out very srong medication with no thought of the repercussions my best mate i have known for 25 years this never should have happened he has no memory of that days events for which he now stuck in prison these events are just so tradgic and so out of his character if anyone can help me with any information please email me as my best friend is in jail for something he had no control over execept trusting his doctor and taking the AVANZA as told dont let this happen to the people you care about thankyou for your time Todd John Robba 20 may 2004

On the 8th of Octobre I had an appointment to see a GP concerning my depression that I have been afflicted with in the last 12 years. This doctor did not hesitate to perscribe me avanza which I declined until I did my research on any possible harmful side effects makes you wonder??!!!
