Zyprexa Class Action Lawsuit Filed Against Eli Lilly and Company

Parker & Waichman, LLP and Douglas & London LLP Monday announced the first nationwide class action lawsuit against Eli Lilly and Company on behalf of all persons residing in the United States who used the atypical antipsychotic drug Zyprexa.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, seeks relief for Zyprexa patients who have already been diagnosed with side effects as well as compensation for medical testing for all patients who have used Zyprexa in the United States.

Zyprexa has been linked to serious side effects including diabetes, hyperglycemia and pancreatitis.

3 Flora McAdow August 10, 2004 at 4:37 am: I took Zyprexa for approximently 2yrs., I had problems with my body jerking while I was sleeping at night so my physicitrist finally took me off of it and put me on Topamax. I do have some problems that might be related. Thank You.
4 juan c. faxas October 3, 2004 at 2:56 pm: very sick,cant work,under dr.s care&clinics,pending disability.Dr.”s now increased my diabetis meds. and added more different meds.also have have other acute illnesses.example:(1)metformin-850mg.,now up 3 a day.glipizde-5mg.,&HCTZ 25mg.(2)bloodpressure-atenol 50mg.,Hctz25mg.,lisinopril 20mg.(3)Azthma-flovent 220 mcg.,albuterolpump also.(4)pain tylenol 1000mg.,ibuprofen800mg. (5)neurotin 300mg.x3day;zoloft50×2ay;seroquel200mg.(6)arthritis&acute infection since 2003,partialy deaf ears,Otitis,otalgia.dr.says if sugar goes up,im giong on insulin.because of zyprexa ,prior,im 150lbs.heavier-425lbs.please ,consider taking my case and put a lawsuit on ili lily co.thank you.

7 Brook Balocca February 21, 2005 at 3:07 pm: I took Zyprexa for only a couple of months and developed chronic tardive dyskenisia. The debilitating effects are slight but the nuisance is extreme. I was curious as to whether my conditions would meet the criteria for filing with this class-action. Thanx

And I got it when I was 18, I have Type 1 diabetes,and heart disease caused by my diabeties I havent filled a lawsuit yet… and does anyone know where I can get help??
9 Sharon RAthbun March 16, 2005 at 12:13 pm: tardive dyskenisia, this was condition was diagnosed last week by my new nureo doc , he stated that as cause by taking Zyprexa as prescibed by my psch. after my son had died some years ago. I have been familier with the ongoing Zyprexa class action suite for some time, how do I jump on board?

I believe (and I’ve found many others who believe) that Paxil, due in part by it prolactin producing properties, causes Pituitary tumors. Please let me know if you know of any law suite or pending law suite, thank you.
12 Mary July 12, 2005 at 12:25 pm: To Juan C. Faxas – I would consider the lisinopril as a culprit for asthma and other problems. I never had asthma as a child, but after turning 40 and taking 10 mg lisinopril, I now take singulair, advair and spiriva. 15 Brittany Haynes-Fisher September 12, 2005 at 8:32 am: MY father was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes about 3 years ago after taking zyprexa. Now he has been diagnosed as terminal. There has never been diabetes in his family and he was a very healthy man until this. I have had to sit and watch one of the only men that i care about, slowly and painfully die. The eli lilly Company should have to pay for this and they will be but no amount of money can give me back my dad after he dies. I hope those heart-less snakes are happy knowing that the killed an innocent man, because they were to damn lazy to test the product. And i have also been informed that the product is still on the market. seeing as how it was perscribed to my bestfriend. My family has won our suit agiants the eli lilly company and i hope everyone else can win theirs. they deserve to be bleed dry.
