ASEA Sues Pfizer Over its Neurontin ‘Off-Label’ Marketing Scheme

June 9th, 2004 · 58 Comments

Alaska State Employees Association Health Benefit Trust filed a lawsuit against Pfizer Inc. and its subsidiary Warner-Lambert Co. over its off-label marketing scheme of its top selling epilepsy drug Neurontin.

The lawsuit, filed last week in U.S. District Court in Newark, N.J., contends that Pfizer made billions of dollars of fraudulent revenues by promoting Neurontin as a treatment for a variety of disorders not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Pfizer, the world’s largest pharmaceutical company, plead guilty in May and agreed to pay more than $430 million to settle all criminal charges and civil liabilities related to the illegal and fraudulent promotion of unapproved uses for Neurontin, the Justice Department said in a statement.

The ASEA lawsuit seeks damages on behalf of health plans and others that have paid for Neurontin for so-called “off-label” uses since Jan. 1, 1994.

My mother has been taking the drug NEURONTIN since 1999. She was given the drug to treat NEUROPATHY and CIDP. She takes 800mg 5 times a day. We would love to know of any actions we could take aganist the Doctors how sell out to the fat pockets of the drug companies and the drug companies who keep fatting their pockets by taking advantage of the ill.

I have been taking neurontin for at least 3 year now for back and leg pain. It does not help the pain, it simply tricks your mind into a different mode. It feels like drinking a 6 pack of beer and the side effects are very dangerous if you are not aware of what your dealing with. I want to become part of the class act law suit.

My husband was prescribed Neurontin early this year for pain control of neuropathy associated with diabetes. By mid-March he was unable to work and has not returned to work and will never be able to work again. This drug has horrendous side effects, many of which are not listed in any PDR. The docs have been totally brainwashed as to the uses of this very dangerous drug. Should there be a class action lawsuit, we certainly will participate. I will continue to monitor your website for developments. Thank you.

Did anyone read TIME, May 24, 2004:

$430 million settlemnt to be paid by Pfitzer for marketing Neurotin, an epilepsy drug, for uses not approved by he FDA.

$2.7 billion proceeds from sales of the drug last year.

90% estimated proportion of sales unrelated to epilepsy.

This is the drug that I was prescribed recently for diabetic neuropathy but after reading the small print, I realized that I would have been worse off. Still I am in a state of shock! Barbara Lundeen, Fresno, CA

I was prescribed Neurotin ( 2001 / 2002 )for nerve pain and pressure due to Degeneritive disc disease, a compressed nerve and C-spine injuries suffered while on active duty in the USAF. I suffered, mood swings, general loss of attention and loss of memory without any improvement to my condition. After 6 mos. my Neurologist saw no benefits and against other Doctors handling my situation he took me off it. I still suffer a loss of memory and a general maliase of my condition.

I would like to be apart of this lawsuit also. I am taking Neurontin for preventing my seizures and am taking a higher dosage 900mg. 3 times aday and i am so tired etc. the side effects are getting worse. I have tried to talk to my dr. about this and only thing is to jump to another and try and see how the side effects are. This is already my 2nd chage. Please if anyone can help me to get apart of this lawsuit. I am in Kansas. Neurontin has caused so many mind, and physical pain that they deserve to have this action taken against them. They need to know how many people that are on this medication have had their lives damaged from the side effects. Thank you all.

My 15 year old son was put on Neurotin after a suicide attempt last summer. While on the drug he was depressed and unable to focus on anything, to the point that he had to drop out of school. He had to be schooled at home, and his mood swings were so severe that I was afraid to leave him home and was not able to work. Since he stopped taking the drug in April, his attitude and his behavior has improved dramatically - he actually smiles and enjoys life again.

If there is a class action suit, I would love to join in - I feel like my son and I have both lost a year of our lives.

My mother was persrcibed Neurotin in 1997,approx., for lazy leg syndrom. She started with 200mgs per day and soon reached over 1200mgs, her doctor told her it would do no harm. Her memory started to suffer and when questioned the doc ignored the question and said it is old age. I would very much like to be part of a lawsuit. on her behalf.

I take neurotin for a dual purpose. I take it along with Tegretol for a seizure disorder. The doctors also told me it would help with neuropathy and chronic pain syndrome due to a chronic debilitating condition. I take 400mg in the morning and at lunch with minimal side effects, but I take 800mg at night with numerous other meds, I get a drunk synsation, slurred speech, difficulty thinking and the sensation of falling even when laying down. I wish to be part of the law suit

I have taken neurotin for two and a half years now.I was not told what I was taking for but I do suffer from numerous mental disorders. Neurotin caused me to gain 70#s. It is rather bothersome and depressing for me.Also have limited gait.MY appearance changed drastically, for the worse.I will be in the class action lawsuit, when I find out more about it.

  • Katharine Goodwin // Jul 14, 2004 at 7:05 am

Is it too late to be part of the lawsuit against Pfizer? I have been taking it since 2000 for a mental disorder and did not hear of the lawsuit until after they settled with Medicaid. Is it not the law for all people using the drug to be informed of a lawsuit by the defendant company when they are initially brought to court? Please, someone, let me know. Thanks.

The doctor keeps wanting to increase the medication but I cannot tolerate it. I didn’t know that some of the symthoms that I’m having could be coming from the medicine. It explains alot. Thanks

  • SHARON MARKUSIC // Aug 4, 2004 at 10:53 pm

I’M WRITING THIS BECAUSE I AM VERY UPSET!!!

2 YRS AGO MY RHEUMATOLOGIST SENT ME TO A NEUROLOGIST..FOR A WORKUP FOR M.S.

I HAVE A MIXED CONNECTIVE TISSUE DISEASE,WHICH PRESENTS WITH SOME PRETTY STRANGE SYMPTOMS AT TIMES.GOT SO USED TO THESE FLARE-UPS DIDN’T PAY MUCH ATTENTION TO ODD FEELINGS!

THIS WAS QUITE DIFFERENT THOUGH..ON XMAS EVE OF 2001 I SUDDENLY WAS UNABLE TO CLIMB MY DAUGHTERS STAIRS,LEFT FOOT JUST DROPPED DOWN,ALSO HAVING SEVERE WEAKNESS,NUMBNESS AND AN ELECTRICAL CHARGE THAT WOULD PERMEATE MY BODY FROM NECK DOWN. STUMBLING FALLING UNABLE TO HOLD THINGS (JUST SEEMED TO FLY OUT OF MY HANDS.)THE NEWEST ODDEST OF ALL WAS MY LEFT EYE SWELLED,PAINFUL,BLURRED VISION,AND A SQUISHY SOUND WHEN I RUBBED IT. ALSO SEEING SILVER DOTS AND FLUORESCENT DONUTS??(*:*)

ANYHOO..NEURO DID MRI AND EMG..DID NOT FIND A SPOT ON MY BRAIN..OR ANY NERVE DAMAGE. SO NOW WHAT?? ANOTHER DRUG!!

CAN;T RECALL WHAT HE GAVE IT TO ME FOR??

JUST SAID:”WILL HELP ME SLEEP AND HELP THE NERVE PAIN I WAS HAVING,WHICH WAS THOSE ELECTRICAL DISCHARGES I WAS HAVING.

RECENTLY HAD ANOTHER SPELL…RHEUMY SENT ME TO HIS PARTNER FOR SECOND OPINION?? PARTNER SAID THEY HAD MY MCTD UNDER CONTROL..SAID I NEED TO GET 2ND OPINION FROM NEURO,,JUST SAW NEURO HE TOLD ME TO TAKE MORE NEURONTIN IN A.M.

HE SENT ME BACK TO RHEUMY!!

STARTED GETTING TREMORS IN RIGHT HAND.NEURO DECREASED A.M. NEURONTIN.

IN THE MEANTIME MY HUBBY AQUIRED A DEADLY BRAIN TUMOR,GLIOBLASTOMA MULTIFORME. TOUGH BUT GOT THRU IT IN SPITE OF MY PAIN AND HEALTH PROBLEMS.

JUST FEELING XTRA FATIGUED AND GETTING VERY MOODY TERRIBLE OUTBURSTS.UNDERSTANDABLE? THEN IN DECEMBER GOT ANOTHER SPELL ONLY THIS TIME MY ANKLES FEET SWELLED TWICE THEIR SIZE FEET TURNED BLUE, THOUGHT OH OH NOW IM IN TROUBLE!!AS TIME WENT ON FOUND IT HARDER AND HARDER TO CONCENTRATE OR REMEMBER THINGS I KNEW ALL TOO WELL.I BECAME VERY AGITATED AND ANGRY THAT I COULDNT CONTROL MYSELF.

STARTED THINKING OF DIEING JUST WANTED OUT!! AND I WAS ON ZOLOFT!!EVEY SINGLE DAY I WOULD THINK ABOUT IT HOW TO DO IT SHOULD I WAIT FOR MY HUBBY TO PASS OR GO WHEN HE DOES?? BUT I CANT WHO WOULD TAKE CARE OF OUR BELOVED PETS?? I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT. NOW I AM GETTING MORE AND MORE DEPRESSED,SLEEPING TOO MUCH,OR NOT SLEEPING AT ALL!!

IN JUNE I WENT TO N.H.FOR MY GRANDSONS GRADUATION..DAY AFTER I LEFT HUBBY HAD BAD SEIZURE HAD TO FLY BACK.TUMORS GROWING BACK CANT DO ANYTHING.

WAS DOING OK…BUT THIS LAST MONTH MORE AND MORE MORBID THOUGHTS,SLEEPING, CRYING,UNABLE TO FUNCTION,SO MOODY IRRITABLE.

CALLED DR.FOR APPT. TO INCREASE ZOLOFT.

NEXT DAY,MY DAUGHTER CALLS,ASKS,DONT YOU TAKE THAT NEURONTIN?? WELL YES!

THROW IT OUT!! SHE YELLED,THERE IS A LAW SUIT AGAINST IT PEOPLE ARE COMMITTING SUICIDE!! THEN I HAD TO CONFESS THATS ALL I HAD BEEN THINKING OF LATELY…AND THAT IS SOMETHING I HAD NEVER EXPERIENCED BEFORE…SCARY!!!

ITS TOO SOON TO TELL,I GUESS?? BUT I WAS ACTUALLY ABLE TO GET OUT OF BED YESTERDAY AND TODAY,AND MADE PLANS!!!

ANYHOO..NOW IM OFF THE BIG BAD *N* AND WILL BE GETTING A GOOD 2ND OPINION FROM HUBBYS NEUROSURGEON.

    THANK-U-MUCH FOR YOUR EARS.

I’M SO P/O RIGHT NOW HAD TO VENT.

ALSO THINKING SOME PRETTY MORBID THOUGHTS..BUT ABOUT DRUG COMPANY!!I DONT EVEN WANT TO THINK ABOUT WHAT I COULD HAVE DONE!!PLEASE KEEP ME UPDATED,I WANT THESE PEOPLE!! POSSIBLY TO GIVE THEM AN O/D OF NEURONTIN!! (*:*)

    BYE FOR NOW!!! SHARON

I HAVE BEEN TAKING NEURONTIN SINCE

    5-2000.

MY DOCTOR PUT ME ON 100MG FIVE TIMES PER DAY AND THEN CHANGED ME ONTO A HIGHER LEVEL AND PUTM E UP TP 2700MG PER DAY.I STARTED HAVING STUMACH PAINS ALOT AND I ENDED UP IN THE ER HOSPITAL IN EVERETT AND THEY DID AN ULTRA SOUND OF MY ABDAMON AND LIVER AND FOUND A SPOT IT ALL ENDE UP THAT THEY KEPT A CLOSE WATCH ON THE SPOT.MY THYROID DOCTOR SAW THE LEVEL MY OTHER DOCTOR PUT ON OF NUERONTIN AND VERY QUICKLY DROPED MY DOWN TO 1200MG.

I HAD TO KEEP GOING IN FOR THE ULTRA SOUND OF MY LIVER AND AFTER THE DOSE WENT DOWN SHORTLY THERE AFTER ANOTHER ULTRA SOUND WAS DONE AND THEY

(COULD NOT)FIND THE SPOT ON MY LIVER ANY LONGER.HMMMM!!!!!

NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN I’M BRUSEING VERY BAD ALL OVER MY BODY ALONG WITH MY MEMORY HAS TRUTHFULLY HAS GONE TO THE DOGS.

I HAVE A 7YR OLD GRANDSON WHO IS WITH ME MOST OF THE TIME AN NOW HE IS EVEN TELLING MY DOCTOR THAT MY MIND IS GONE

AS HE STATES IT MY MIND IS GETTING OLD.

    TO SUM ALL THIS UP

YES THE NUERONTIN DOES HELP SOME BUT I TRUTHFULLY FEEL IT HAS SOME MAGOR SIDE EFFECTS.

I FEEL IT IS THE PROBLEM WHY MY MIND IS NOT GOOD ANY LONGER AND I CANT EVEN SEEM TO SPELL THINGS RIGHT.

I’AM 55 YEARS OF AGE AND MY SONS HAVE TO TAKE ME SHOPPING AS I CANT PUSH THE SHOPPING CART AS IT HUTRS MY NECK AND UPPER BACK.

WELL I COULD KEEP GOING ON BUT THE MOST VALID COMPLAINT I HAVE ABOUT THE DRUG IS THE MIND GOING AND THE SPOT ON THE LIVER.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LEAVE A MESSAGE IN MY MAIL IF YOU CARE TO

    SINCERLY

I had been taking Nuerontin for approximately 8 months. I was told it was to protect the nerve in my cercial spine in which I have a herniated disk. Just last December 2003, I collasped, I felt fatigue, I had trembles, I was week, I had blurred vision, and I had a fog that wouldn’t go away and made me feel disoriented. I had heart palpitation and every thing.

In 2003 Istarted talking Neurontin for

    pain due to degenerative arthritis.

I do have depression and have been taking medication for this for years.

I was taking Neurontin for about 6 months

.Soon after I had started taking it I seemed okay. I didn’t notice any major relief but it seemed I was getting more and more depressed. I was on 300mgs. daily. My behaviors chanfrd, unlike any I had exoerienced before. I became angry and acted out in fits of ragr and then I became very withdrawn and suicidal.Around February 22,2004 I took an overdose and almost did. I had a seizure and was in ICU for 3 days. The DR. said it was a miracle I didn’t go into cardiac arrest. Thank God I lived through it. I’m fine now but I would like to talk to a lawyer. I live in San Diego CA. Thank You, Judi Daviau

I have been on neurotin for over a year. Now taking 1200 mg. My short term memory loss gets worse by the day. My neuro doctor told me neurotin helps depression. I take 300mg of Welburtin. Lately I have had very high anxiety. I feel like I am shaking on the inside. Last week at the neuro doctor my blood pressure was 130/110. I have gained 35 pounds in a year. I tried to go off the drug but found that the numbness due to my carpal tunnel and fibromyalgia was much worse and I could not sleep at all. After 4 days I started back on the drug. I have sleep apnea also which complicates everything. I wake up feeling like I have been hit by a Mack truck. I am dizzy alot, but my memory loss is what really scares me. I am 43 years old and have started a second family and we have 2 boys ages 3 and 4 and 5 old children above the age of 20. I have serious problems concentrating. I used to be able to remember everything now I can’t remenber what day of the week it is. Is it too late to join the class action law suit??? What should I do??

  • Diane Price // Nov 8, 2004 at 8:49 am

I like many of you have experienced memory loss. I was prescribed the medication after a long battle of pain in my chest due to a double by-pass. The incision in my chest was extremly sensitive and I could not touch it without going threw the roof! The neurontin helped some but I became moody and forgetfull. I also gained 20 pounds. I would like more information on the class action suit. I am a resident of New Jersey. Thank you.

  • Anna Mekki // Nov 12, 2004 at 11:09 pm

I started taking Neurontin as a means of controlling severe nerve pain from a bulging disc and trapped nerves in my lower back and right leg. The Neurontin helped for a while, but I kept having to double the dose until I was at the maximum. I started to have severe memory loss and emotional dysfunction. I even contemplated suicide many times. I had severe crying spells and had to stop going to school because I could barely hold onto my job. I decided to just stop the medication and try to deal with my pain through chiropractic help and Ibuprofen. I still feel like I almost lost my mind and my life because of this medication. Is there any type of compensation out there for this unlabeled use of Neurontin?

  • Stephanie Walston // Nov 20, 2004 at 6:07 pm

My grandma had been taken neurontin also and she too is having memory loss, and acting really off the wall. She quit taking it and got put on Vicodin, and now she is taking Darvacets. The doctor never once said anything about the effects of neurontin. This has just been a couple months ago since she was just on it. She is really bad. She can’t remember anything. I just so happened to look this up and was astonished to find out that this pill has effected so many people. Thank you for all of you who have posted information about what this drug has done to so many. Pleas contact me if you know of any attorneys who would handle this case in Illinois.

    Thank you,

i started taking Neurontin for neuroapthy in 2001. It might have been 2002, though. The thing is i don’t remember. My memory has become so bad that I don’t remember if i was actually prescribed it or not. I sometimes forget to take my blood pressure and cholesterol medicines too. My blood pressure went up to 220/140 the other day and i was so afraid i was going to get a stroke. The good thing is i don’t remember that day that well unless my husband reminds me.

I want to get in on the lawsuit soon because i’m afraid i might forget later.

I have been taking neurontin for almost three years…started off with 600 mgs. per day….was told it would help my fibromyalgia pain; the dosage was increaed to 600 mgs. in p.m. which left me very groggy the next morning. However, with the leg pain worsening and neuropathy which I was told was from radiation for breast cancer in l990, my neurontin was upped again to l200 mgs. per day. I was told to take 800 mgs. at night and 400 mgs. in the a.m.; the pain kept getting worse… now I am taking 600 mgs. every 8 hours and more recently was told that I needed to increase it again….that this dosage was too low and that it should gradually be increaed to 2400 and up to 3600 mgs. per day. My legs, hips, and feet hurt so badly i can hardly walk, My feet are blue with so many broken blood vessels in the ankle area….I, too, am very forgetful…cannot remember names of people I know very well. I did not know that neurontin could cause anything like this….My MD keeps telling me it is a very safe drug. Could it be causing any of my problems? With the pain I am in 24/7 all the time a person will try taking anything. I am also taking oxycontin for pain and still need something for breakthrough pain. I had stage 3 cancer (breast cancer) in Dec. l989, and then cancer from radiation therapy in Dec. l998. In the past two years my pain has worsened so much. I already had fibromyalgia pain and it was terrible. Where do i turn? What do I do next? I am told that you can not just go “cold turkey’ off any drugs such as the neurontin. I am at a loss. Without it I am not sure I could make it, but what is it doing to me during the mean time? Any response or referral would be appreciated. Allie

My Father is a manic depressant parinoid schitzofrenic. He tells me his doctor has just raised his neurotin dosage from 600mg to 1000mg with talk of going to 4000-6000mg. He is also taking 400mg of serequel. He says he feels really “spaced out” and is very afraid. I feel the same for as I don’t know what either of these drugs are for. What are they for and is my father in any harm by these doctors’ prescriptions?

I just received a letter from CVS Pharmacy and to my surprise–turn in all your 100mg.capsules. I immediately went to internet to see what’s going on and yet another surprise, it’s been ongoing for some time. My dosage is small compared to others I’m reading about, 300mg. 3 x’s a day. Feet and leg neuropathy, Vitamin B defeciency–so Doc says. Have been on the pill for about a year. Lots of pain so dosage would continue to be increased. Yes, I have memory loss and confusion in speech. Thanks to everyone who wrote I will continue to read and pursue this ugly thing…

I am currently looking for someone to represent me in CA. I have contacted lawyers, but the ones representing victims in the class action suits only want those victims of Neurontin who actually attempted suicide or family’s of those who actually comitted suicide. Alhtough I suffered from suicidal thoughts, and in attempted suicide in the matter that I did things that I didn’t care whether or not I died from, apparently aren’t good enough for these lawyers representing the class actions suits.

I was put on Neurontin back in May 2002, and for 2 years I suffered severe side-effects from memory loss and forgetfulness, to irratibility, hostility, mania, heart and other medical problems, paranoia, and severe anxiety which almost turned me into an agorophobic because every time I would go outside, even stand by my sliding glass door, I would get panic attacks, the room would start spinning, and so on. I am with many of you. A victim of Warner - Lambert’s Off-Label scheme. I feel all your pain as alot of the symptoms that those who were written for or who wrote for themselves as suffering from Neurontin side-effects I have experienced. If anyone could help me or lead me in the right direction I would be forever grateful.

Let’s keep fighting and sticking together so that we aren’t taken advantage of again!

    God Bless!

I’m so glad to read about others who have had memory loss on this neurontin. Thanks for making me feel like I’m not going crazy.

I suffered epilepsy in my early 20’s and it has been under comtrol for over 20 years. Please do not take chances with untested drugs. I am happy for Kathy Schuyler’s son, who is much better off without Neurontin. DJSE UK

I have been on Neurotin since 1998. Recently this last year I have been experiencing memory loss, mood swings, splurred vision, dont know where i’m at most the time, talking nonsence, and so on with many other problems. I brought these up to many doctors and have been told that its every thing would be alright, not to worry about it. some doctors didnt believe me and accused me of wanting more medications. At this time i was on many medications already such as vioxx, celebrex,, neurotin, depakote, amitriptyline traZODONE oxycodone 10\650, diazepam, ranitidine, lipitor, furosemide, lexapro, axert, albuterol, cyclobenzaprine, asprinazmacort, and an epiPEN injection. Like i really want more medications. not to mention the oxycotin and others. After being tired of not getting anywhere with doctors I decided to check out this web page. If anyone has any information that would be helpful, please e mail me. I am currently searching for a lawyer in West Virginia and Massachuttes. I have been unsuccessful in both states and in and out of hospitals still till today. Any info would be helpful to my family and myself. Readme26505@yahoo.com

I am 49 years old and have been taking neurontin for nearly two year (300 mg., 3 times a day.) It was prescribed to relieve nerve pain (neuropathy). I have experienced dizziness, light-headedness, constant fatigue and forgetfulness. I am looking for a suitable, safe alternative to neurotin. My doctor tells me that the drug is safe. However, after hearing about all of the problems associated with it, I no longer believe that it is safe.

I was given Neurontin for sleep apnea , but it has made things worse for me, whith drymouth and worsened apnea. I am trying now to get off it since I have been on it for 5 weeks with no help. It was suppose to sedate me , but the seadtion has caused my tongue to be dry and seems to make things worse for me .

This has not been proven for insomnia or from what I am reading is expected to actually worsen apne and cause more problems . I am very angry

  • Robert Saunier // Oct 24, 2005 at 11:46 am

This is Robert Saunier once again. I filled this out last night in desperation looking for a link to some of the symptoms I have had and tried to see if it was related to Neurontin or the generic name Gabapentin.

I was diagnosed as having sleep apnea , but one of an unexplained nature which is mostly silent . I was fitted with a CPAP mask and could not quite adapt to the confinement and so Neuontin was prescribed due to low side effects and the doctor told me I could get off it at any time easily . My wife was there to witness this . I was told it would keep me down and it did just. The first night I took 1 300mg pill and it glued me to the bed, but when I got up during the night I stumbled almost fell was dizzy and disorientated. My apnea symptoms were masked with still having awakenings . The doctor told me to increase it and for some nights it worked then would stop. It did help me use the mask just a few nights . I noticed that in the morning I felt great without headaches just a few days . Then I found I couldn’t get to sleep at all and the sedating effect was lost. The next day my memory was bad and when typing I would mix letters with poor coordination. I seemed to be emotionless and numb . This is a low dose and I can’t imagine doing as my doctor left me with taking up to 4 a night at bed then taking two more in the evening or up to 1800 mg . My apnea has worsened in the time I have been on it with my tongue seemingly dry and even sleeping on my side my awakening are worse which was better before and concluded by my sleep study . I have a combination of apnea and a sleep disorder and this has made it both worse in the 6 weeks I have taken it . I asked the sleep specialist specific questions at my last visit about would it inhibit rem sleep he said “I don’t know” . I then asked about getting off and he recommended me take more and that “getting off would probably be difficult” , which is not what he said before. I asked if sedating medications like sleeping pills and Neurontin could worsen apnea and he said there was no correlation but obviously sedating the tongue during apnea or relaxing the muscles can not help. I am appalled that he could say this was safe when he knew so little about it and how it worked . It seems he has a license to prescribe anything untested with me the clinical study without my approval. The FDA needs to enforce the intended use of this drug and not allow doctors to use it unless proved safe and effective for the intended use. I am praying I will get off this soon with no residual side effects.

If you have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and can’ get used to the mask like me because that’s normal please do not use this drug to relax you or like the doctor in this case said it would keep me down. It will wear off and your problems will be more than your apnea like in my case.

    What to do?

My doc prescribed me Gabapentin [Neurontin] for chronic pain.

I have developed a “slightly numb” area at the left temple.

Should I take it? Should I sue someone? I don’t know whjere to start.

    I am in Canada…
