Philadelphia — Wampler Foods today expanded the recall of all cooked deli products made from May1, 2002 through October 11, 2002 because it’s possibly contaminating with Listeria. About 27.4 million pounds of meat have been recalled.
The meat packages in question came from the plant of Franconia and contain plant number P-1351 inside the USDA mark of inspection. The recall is the largest in USDA history and follows an Oct. 9 recall of 295,000 pounds of turkey and chicken products from the plant in Franconia.
Consumers should return the product covered by this recall to the store or deli where they purchased it for a full refund. Consumers who have questions can call 877-260-7110.
