Abercrombie Agrees to Pay $50M to Settle 3 Discrimination Lawsuits

Abercrombie & Fitch has agreed to pay nearly $50 million to settle charges that its hiring and employment practices discriminate against Latino, Asian American and African American applicants and employees, the clothing retailer disclosed Tuesday in a quarterly S.E.C. filings report.

The plaintiffs were represented by MALDEF ( Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund), the Asian Pacific American Legal Center, the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, Inc. (LDF), and the law firm of Lieff Cabreser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP.
