WASHINGTON — FBI officials said Tuesday they have “lost control” of an agency-created watch list of people wanted for questioning after the September 11 terrorist attacks. The list, which has gone through several manifestations, has made it to the Internet and contains names of people who have been cleared of any possible connection to last year’s attacks. The FBI distributed several versions of the list to both law enforcement agencies and some businesses.
Attorney General John Ashcroft on Tuesday supported the list as a way to fight terrorism.
“We need to find ways to share as much information with individuals as is possible to make every American, whether they are in an industry or business or in law enforcement or in their families, capable of enhancing their security by being aware and alert,” Ashcroft said.
“So it’s with that in mind that we will guide our approach to information sharing to make it possible for us all to be a part of the team which defeats terror.”.

After several peace activists in the Des Moines area were subpoened to testify before a grand jury and FBI “terrorism task force” in the upcoming weeks, I heard from a friend of the existence of an FBI “watch list” on people who are pro-peace/anti war and vocal (by attending rallies, etc.). I would love to know if this actually exists and am so offended, as I think every US citizen should be.

In Boulder, Colorado. On Oct. 19th, 2001, I was arrested for a crime I did not do. Just shortly after 9/11, on Oct. 13th, 2001, there were two calls made to the, Muslim Student Assoc. at the C.U.campus in Boulder, Co. and I was charged with that crime. Although the charges were dropped, based on no
evidence. I will not drop this, becuase
the real perpitrators that did this to
me. None other then ALF, Animal Liberation Front, and all becuse I know to much of another group that supports them. I need a lawyer. I live on a VA Pention, and can’t afford one I
could use some help. The ones responsible for this, Performing Animal Welfare Society in Galt, Calif.

How do i know if I am on a list? I think someone has been monitoring my phone calls and e-mail. I subscribe to an IRA (as in Irish Rep. Army) newsletter and get emails from Ireland.
