Wyeth Warns Doctors Against Prescribing Effexor to Children

Wyeth Pharmaceuticals has issued a “Dear Doctor” letter to health professionals warning them that its antidepressant drug Effexor (venlafaxine) is not effective in treating depression in children and teenagers.
